By recovering heat from the internal combustion engine exhaust gas and cylinder jacket water as the heat source for the lithium bromide unit, and through structural and material optimization to overcome the effects of ship sway and seawater corrosion, chilled water of 5℃ or higher is produced to meet air conditioning and refrigeration needs. Taking a 30,000-ton passenger-roll-on/roll-off ship as an example, the refrigeration capacity is 900 kW by recovering heat from the internal combustion engine exhaust gas and cylinder jacket water. With an annual operation of 3,240 hours, the annual diesel fuel consumption is reduced by 116 tons.
